Robert Walters Website Redesign

Project Overview

Full-scale redesign of the Robert Walters global website, transitioning from a legacy platform to a modern, user-centric Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementation.

Role

UX/UI Lead · AEM Design Specialist · CSS and HTML coding

Context

Before the recent rebrand, the organisation needed to modernise its primary lead-generation tool. I led the creative effort to move away from rigid, outdated templates toward a component-based system.

Design Challenge

How to balance high-end corporate aesthetics with the functional requirements of a job board and recruitment portal across dozens of international markets—while creating durable, CMS-safe components that protect functionality, HTML structure, and CSS styling, even with heavy use by non-technical marketers.

My Role

Leadership & Execution

  • Defined the UX strategy and information architecture for global sites
  • Designed custom UI components specifically for the AEM platform
  • Managed the digital rollout across UK, Europe, and APAC regions
  • Provided front-end coding support to ensure pixel-perfect deployment

Outcome & Impact

  • Drastic improvement in mobile responsiveness and user engagement
  • Streamlined the candidate application process globally
  • Established the first unified component library for the group
